This system is at the core of The Balvenie DoubleWood – it sees the whisky developed first in American oak barrels, which confer delicate sweet vanilla notes, previously being exchanged to European oak sherry containers, where the second container maturing includes rich zesty flavors and a profundity and totality of flavor.
The DoubleWood multi-year-old is senior kin to DoubleWood multi-year old and offers its sweet, hot qualities, however, it is particularly extraordinary, with more profound vanilla notes, insights of green apple, smooth toffee, and a striking lavishness and multifaceted nature.
