The nose is mind blowing, wax, leathery, light smoke – stunning! Mind boggling nose. A touch of mint, dried strawberries, guava, hazlenuts, almond, ashiness, menthol, cedar, dry earth, and old orange strip. The sense of taste is rich, fiery, and somewhat smoky! Exceptionally hot – stunning – however this works actually well and diminishes as it sits. Rich and adjusted, with more cowhide and waxy notes and great old whisky notes. Heaps of toffee and zest create towards the completion. The completion has light zest, and is rich and complex, with nectar, sweet peat, light tannic oak, home grown notes, pistachios, and an exquisite dryness. The smokiness fits so well. And after that grainy, as well!
